Course Outline:

This qualification is for people who want to obtain entry level employment in children’s services to provide care to children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes. Depending on the setting, workers may work under direct supervision or autonomously.

Duration:





 

Students who undertake study of this course via distance education will have 12 months in which to complete the course.

Working With Children Check

A Prohibited Employment Declaration must be signed by students in courses where contact will be made with children and young people. Your teacher will give you more information about this on the first day of your course.

Under the Children's Services Regulation 2004 you cannot be employed in Children's Services as a member of the primary contact staff until you are 18 years of age.
