Course Outline:
This qualification is for workers in children’s services who are
responsible for planning, implementing and managing programs in early
childhood services, in accordance with licensing, accreditation and duty
of care requirements. At this level:
- Workers have responsibility for supervision of other staff and
volunteers
- In most states it is the highest qualification required at director
or service manager level for children’s service centre-based care
Entry Requirements:
To gain entry into CHC50908 Diploma of Children’s Services (Early
childhood education and care) candidates must demonstrate competence
through a recognised training program or
recognition process, in the following units of competency:

Duration:
The 18 units of competency will be delivered using a blend of face to face
trainer led theoretical classes and practicum work experience at a range
of Pre schools and Long Day Care Centres provided by H&H Accredited
Training.
This program is delivered over a period of 50 weeks made up of:
- Theoretical classes held two days per week from 9.30am to 4.00pm
over 44 weeks
- Practicum work experience of 6 weeks (30 days at 8 hours per day)
